The short version: your files never leave your computer.
Your files
Files you open here are read by converters that run inside your web browser, on your own device. They are not uploaded, stored or seen by us or anyone else. The PDF, CSV, Word, Excel and ZIP files you save are made in your browser too.
The converters, fonts and helper scripts are downloaded from this site when a file needs them. Your browser may keep them in its cache, so the page can work offline afterwards.
What the site counts
On the live site, when a file opens or fails to open, or a conversion is made, the page tells this site's own server the file's type (for example "wps" or "cwk"), whether it worked, and if not a short reason code (for example "damaged" or "protected"). Never the file, its name, its size or anything from inside it. These counts show which formats need fixing.
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and doesn't track you across sites.
The unlock
Payment is taken by Stripe, which sees your payment details under its own privacy policy; we receive the email address and the payment record. The unlock itself is a flag stored in your browser's local storage.
